Creator businesses buy names constantly and there is no established place to do it. Channel names, handles, brand identities, domains. The transactions happen, awkwardly, across a dozen unrelated venues. Videonames.com is a name about naming, which gives it a neat recursive fit for a branding service, a channel name generator, a brokerage specialising in creator and video brands, or a marketplace for handles and identities. The technical reading is separate and real.

Naming is one of the two hard problems in computing, according to the old joke, and it’s also a professional service with real fees and a problem every founder faces in their first week. Nameable means capable of being named, which is a quietly interesting idea for a business about naming. It also reads as a claim: this thing can be named, and we’ll do it. It suits naming services, brand consultancies, domain brokerage, trademark search, and the tooling around all of them.
