r4g.org
The name has to survive being printed on a report cover and said aloud at a conference. In the nonprofit sector that’s the actual test, and the 4-as-for convention exists because it passes it.
R4G reads as research for growth, resources for governance, or results for good. A funder, partner or grantee parses any of those as a mission statement rather than an abbreviation needing a key.
The commercial readings work too: revenue for growth, or retail for grocers, either of which suits a B2B product.
Three characters means the address fits on everything the organisation produces, reads correctly at any size, and never gets truncated. For a body whose name appears beside a dozen partner logos, that matters more than it sounds.
The name is available. Enquiries welcome.
